PlanScape brings together design, art, and architecture to create extraordinary experiences in public space. We develop sculptural elements that combine functionality, playfulness, and intuitive use, tailored to the needs of diverse community groups. Challenge
Public spaces are often designed with a single purpose in mind—sitting, playing, or passing through. This lack of adaptability creates exclusion and underuse, as diverse communities cannot find spaces that meet their changing needs.​

Objective
To create a system of adaptive objects that can integrate into any urban environment, offering multiple uses: seating, play, relaxation, gathering, or community activities—while maintaining aesthetic quality, sustainability, and accessibility.
 

Process

• Research on community needs and spatial behaviors.

• Concept development of modular, geometric forms.

• Collaboration with a structural engineer and safety consultant.

• Pilot implementation at Shenkar College plaza, supported by the innovation incubator.

Outcome
PlanScape introduces a series of lightweight, low-maintenance elements that adapt to their environment. They invite interaction, enhance urban vitality, and serve as focal points for social encounters. By combining functionality with aesthetic value, the project offers a transformative user experience for both individuals and communities.
